New Ancillary Dwelling, Buckinghamshire

Project Value: Withheld | Client: Private Clients

Overview

Our clients were keen to make use of a cartshed in a courtyard behind their house as guest accommodation. However, we found that the existing timber structure was unsuitable for conversion to a dwelling, and so had to make a strong case to the Local Authority for demolition and reconstruction of a new building to an almost identical design, but also with a modest extension. The family is delighted with the finished result which features a large open plan living area, galley kitchen, separate shower room and bedroom. The oak trusses add a real wow factor to the interior, where guests can enjoy the stunning views across open countryside.
